The LC Class of 2020 Video

The school year has ended, our Leaving Certs have finished, the summer holidays have begun, but unfortunately, we have not been able to hold our annual Graduation Ceremony to celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of the Leaving Cert Class of 2020. This is most certainly not the way we intended to mark the end of their five or six years in Dunmore Community School. We considered virtual ceremonies and other ideas, but none seemed sufficient to do justice to the time they have spent here with us in DCS. Holding a virtual Graduation, without the most important people at it, seemed hollow.

Having discussed the option with staff and having surveyed the Leaving Certs, I’m delighted that the majority of the Class of 2020 intend to return to DCS for a future dated Grad with their parents/guardians so we can celebrate with them in person. We are looking forward to seeing you all in the near future. Thank you for your contribution and commitment to our school over the past six years, it was a pleasure to have taught many of you and to be your Principal for the past three years. Keep Safe, DQuinn.

Until we meet again, here is a little video of the wonderful Leaving Cert Class of 2020, when they were first-years and six years later…
