3rd Year JC2020 Report

Our 3rd Year Junior Cycle school-based assessments report has been posted today and should be with you on Monday. As previously outlined, we decided to take the route of a school-based assessment and report rather than waiting to hold the exams in September, as we felt waiting would be extremely unfair on our 3rd years. The report includes a grade in each exam subject based on students attainment over the past 2 years, mock results, online engagement, CBA’s and an end of term quiz. You will also receive an official Cert from the Department of Ed in Sept/Oct, but this will only list your subjects and levels.

I would like to congratulate those who have engaged so well for the past 10 weeks of school closure and for the effort they placed into their assignments and end of year terminal assessments. Your resilience and commitment, as well as the independence you have demonstrated in having to organise your time in completing your assignments etc, without the structure of a school day, are all important life skills. Not to mention the ICT skills you have all developed. I encourage those who failed to engage, to use some time over the summer to catch up on work missed, so you are not at a disadvantage going forward.
