Juvenile Boys’ Football
A tightly contested tit for tat clash with St. Jarlaths in Dunmore ushered in the juvenile boys’ first football match. The boys’ first outing saw some promising action that left anyone guessing who would clench the win. Indeed for the majority of the match only 1 or 2 points separated the teams with Jarlaths just holding the lead. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be with the final score being 3-9 to 1-10 to St. Jarlaths as a last minute goal by the opponents belied the battle that was fought by stretching the lead and indeed the outcome to 5 points. However this match hints at a bright season for our boys.
