Dunmore CS vs Pres Headford
Our Junior girls got off to a flying start on Tuesday when they narrowly defeated Presentation College Headford in their 1st round. It was a game of two halves which saw them come out on top after a late point from play secured them a victory. Very harsh weather conditions saw them trailing by 7 points at halftime. However, this didn’t faze the Dunmore girls as they started the 2nd half very strongly. This tenacity and work rate continued as they worked tirelessly for each other in defence and the forwards continued to add scores to the scoreboard. A last-minute point from Katie saw us take the lead for the first time in the game and enabled us to secure the win. It was a great team performance from start to finish.
Final score: Dunmore 2.14 Headford 3.10.
