DCS shines at South Connacht Girls Cross Country
Our girls travelled to Bushfield Loughrea with Ms Grehan for the South Connacht Cross Country Championships. It was a great day for running and the girls really enjoyed getting out to represent their school for the first time ever in Cross Country. Our Tuam AC club athletes had a very successful day: Megan Healy (2nd in U14), Lily Concannon (4th U14), Saoirse Hunter (2nd U15) Sarah Hartnett (3rd U15). The other 16 girls who travelled to compete with the girls put in a huge effort. They had never ran cross country before and their efforts really paid off with all teams qualifying for the Connacht finals in Bushfield on 6th Feb. Our Minor team came 3rd, our Junior team came 2nd & our Intermediate team came 5th. Well done to Meadhbh Hanley who represented us in the Senior Race.
