Big Brother Big Sister
BBBS is currently operating in over 50 schools throughout Ireland. National and international research has proven that this mentoring programme improves young people’s wellbeing and their relationships with others. With the help of our Fifth-Year students, the local BBBS Officers and Ms Gilmore, this week DCS launched our own mentoring programme. This programme will support our first years, who have just made the transition from primary school to post-primary school by enabling students to meet once a week to participate in games, sports etc.
Recruitment and training has taken place this week. The programme will be up and running next Wednesday😊.
