2nd year boys football blitz
Bekan Centre of Excellence was the venue for a second-year boys football blitz. This was a great opportunity to get the lads out together, back in a Dunmore CS jersey and dust off the cobwebs. The non-competitive element also gave us a chance to safely trial different positions, game plans and moves while also giving us a chance to scope out some of our competition that we might meet when the championship starts.
3 games saw us play Colaiste na Coiribe, Glenamaddy and Archbishop McHale and each game saw us go from strength to strength, ending with a dominant win in our last game. Well done to all the 2nd years who togged and took to each role assigned to them with great energy and eagerness to try their best. Thank you to Robert Glynn Transition Year who took on the role of refereeing for the day on pitch 5 and thanks to the organisers and facilities for the opportunity. We look forward to another one hopefully after midterm.
Training for 1st year and juvenile boys starts today, Friday the 20th from 13.30 pm to 14.45 pm. All those who signed up have been added to a Microsoft TEAM, anyone who wishes to sign up, please do so. Thanks
