Young SVP Social Justice Conference
Ms Clesham, Fr Fergal and a group of senior students attended the Young SVP Social Justice Conference today in Knock. They joined other students from Galway, Mayo and Roscommon for a very inspirational day. The aim of the day was to inspire students in the West Region to learn more about social issues and help them to get involved in youth led social action with the Young SVP Programme. The interactive dimension appealed to the young people and they were involved in lots of activities throughout the day. The special guest speakers Fr Peter McVerry, John Lonergan, Joanne O’Riordan and Dr Cara Augustonborg were inspirational in every way and lead the discussions at each table along with other people from varied backgrounds.Special thanks to Paddy Daly ( Youth Development Officer) and his team for organising a very inspirational day for everyone.
