U16 & U19 Girls Basketball V’s Pres Tuam
Our U16 and U19 girls put their heart and soul against a Pres Tuam side yesterday under the management of Ms.Canny and Ms.O’Reilly. The U16 girls managed to catch a 12pt margin to lead into the last quatre. Amazing displays by Jodie Scariff who turned the game around as well as Niamh Nestor, Emily Hannon and Laura Turner showed the great spirit this team has but unlucky for us lost by 1 pt in the closing seconds. Our strong U19 girls brought a composed and steady display of defence, skill and scoring ability coming out with a 22 18 win. Tremendous play from Aoife Sheehy, Holly Reddington, Amy Burns, Lorna Murphy and SarahKate Nestor must be commended with Niamh and Emily (u16s) pulled up trumps when called on.
