Tailteann Games Selection
DCS to represent Connacht in National Games

Best of luck to our super athletes Saoirse Hunter (3rd Year) and Sarah Hartnett (2nd Year) who have been selected to represent Connacht in the Taillteann Games this weekend. It is a huge honour to represent Connacht in this interprovincial competition. DCS are very proud of the girls on their selection which is based on their performace at the Connacht schools finals held in ATU Athlone recently. Saoirse competes in the high jump. She won the U17 Connacht schools in May. She also won the Connacht title in the clubs competition recently. Saoirse is new to this event and has mage huge strides in her first year. Sarah competes in the U17 Steeplechase. This is a grueling event and Sarah really had to display her determination and bravery to win the Connacht title. Sarah is a very tough competitor and her fabulous power and endurance helped her to win a bronze medal in the All-Ireland schools final. The girls will travel to Carlow to compete. We wish them the best of luck from all in DCS.
