Rebecca Honoured for Outstanding Results
Congratulations to Rebecca Gormley who was one of only twelve Leaving Certificate Applied Students from all over Ireland to receive the 2021 Fergal Quinn Award.
She was selected by the State Examinations Commission for earning the highest credits in her examinations. She was the only winner in her six-county region and is the first student from Dunmore Community School to win this prestigious prize. The awards ceremony took place in The Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone on Saturday 27th November.
She was presented her award by Rory O’ Connor a former LCA student and bestselling author of Rory’s Stories.
She was accompanied by Ms. Mary Scarry LCA co-ordinator and Ms. Margaret Griffiths Deputy Principal.
