Mass of Remembrance 2020
During the month of November, we recall with love the memories of our loved ones who have gone before us. It is a special time in which Dunmore Community School remembers our deceased past students and staff each year.
Unfortunately, this year, we are unable to hold our Annual Mass of Remembrance. Thanks to the hard work of Ms Clesham & Mairéad Haverty, one of our Leaving Certs, we have a short video to remember our past students and colleagues who have sadly passed away. Special thanks also to Ms Higgins for the backing soundtrack.
This year we also remember those who have died in the past year- Gina O’Dea (McHugh) Breda Burke, Helena Reilly ( Lena), Andrew Fleming, Jarlath Heverin, Ali Herviaux and John Culkeen. May they Rest in Peace. While we are not able to come together as a community we will still continue to pray for our loved ones.
This year we also pray for all those people who lost their lives due to Covid. This pandemic has challenged each and everyone of us in our daily living so we ask God to help all of us in the grieving of our loved ones and to give us the strength to cope with our loss and daily lives. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
