LCVP 5 Factory Visit
Our LCVP 5 class recently went on a factory visit to our local factory, Stira Folding Attic Stairs. We learnt how Stira was set up originally in the 1980’s by Michael Burke. We got first-hand experience of the production process; we saw how raw materials are transformed into the finished product. We examined the various employee roles within the factory. Accidents are kept to a minimum through stringent health and safety procedures. We were shown how Stira advertises to potential customers. We would like to thank Eddie Smyth, who was our tour guide for the factory visit. We found the visit very interesting and beneficial to our LCVP project work.
