LC Students Seize the Day – The Final Furlong
Our Final Furlong Programme for LC 2024 began today with a Staff vs Students Boccia Game in the Auditorium at Lunchtime.
The first Student Team up was captained by Maedhbh Hanly with experienced players Alicia Costello & Emma Heneghan alongside.
Staff teams were well prepared, and expectations were high. The first staff team out was captained Ms. Gilmore alongside Ms. Corrigan and Mr Janssens. They held the students to a 2 – 2 draw following a rocky start.
The next staff team-up was led by Ms Greally, a very strong team, including Mr Walsh and Mr. Chasseriaud. The students, with captain Cian Donelon and ably assisted by Colm Costello and Mikey Keadin, routed the staff team with a final result of 6 – 2! Ms Greally couldn’t hide her disappointment and immediately took action, putting Mr Walsh on the transfer list and Mr. Chasseriaud into a training camp on Tory Island!
Next up for the Final Furlong Programme is a Staff V Leaving Cert pool & darts event.
