Junior Lads football
Our Junior lads football team travelled to Galway before the midterm to play St. Mary’s College in the Junior B Galway competition. Despite taking a few minutes to settle, it didn’t take our team long to take a lead in the game. Powerful runs through the middle from Robert Heneghan and the unstoppable scoring boot of Colm Costello ensured that we would progress to the next stage. At times St. Mary’s made some surging runs but they were blocked off immediately by Oisin Cloonan, Dylan Connolly and Finian Cronin. Padraig Martyn, Niall Heneghan & Barry Murray worked hard to create scores. The game finished up 2-17 to 1-2.
