Green Schools – Water Bottle Filler
Special thanks to Mark Molloy, Environmental Awareness Officer of Galway County Council, who came to visit our Green Schools Committee last week to talk to them about the importance of water conservation and reducing the use of plastic bottles. Thanks to the help of Mark, and the generous sponsorship of Galway County Council we had a water bottle filler and fountain installed before Christmas. Already, the Green Schools Committee have noticed a noticeable drop in the number of plastic bottles going into our recycling bins each day. They would like to encourage all students to please use refillable bottles each day to help in reducing our plastic usage going forward. @GalwayCounty @GalwayCoCo
