Galway Student Enterprise Competition

Students from Dunmore Community School were very successful in the recent Galway Student Enterprise Competition organised by the Galway Local Enterprise Office. Nathan Gannon, a Transition Year student, created handcrafted wooden medal holders which were sold at the Christmas Market in Dunmore and online. He won the Best Marketing Award in the Senior Enterprise Category.  Second Year students came in third place in the Intermediate category for their business, Candy Cart.  They made the candy cart to display candy which they also sold at the Christmas Market. The students traded successfully at the market and hope to build on the skills learned to improve their entries for the next Enterprise competition.
