Chess Secondary Schools Final

Best of Luck to the Six teams from DCS who are taking part in the Connacht and Ulster Chess Z Secondary School finals tomorrow in Sligo. Chess is one of our extra curricular activities in school. Transition year students play a big part in teaching and playing chess with fellow students. Playing chess promotes brain growth, teaches planning and foresight, improves memory and raises IQ. We wish all our players the best of luck for tomorrow’s competition. Well done to you all on the hard work and time you have put into practicing for the competition and thanks to Mr Pat Coleman and Ms Brogan for all their help in preparing them for this competition.
