2nd Year Girls Basketball drive forward in League
Well done to our 2nd year girls basketball team who got out of their basketball group to reach Galway teams Semi-Final stages. On Thurs 12th the most exciting game to watch saw Dunmore claw back a lead by Headford to secure a draw in the closing minutes of the game. Extra time ⌚ finished after 3 mins with Headfords club player scoring a free throw to beat us by 1 pt – Dunmore 25 Headford 26. That loss was fresh as today our girls hit the ground running against Pres Athenry in a brilliant performance ending in a scoreline Dunmore 25 Athenry 14. We play Colaiste Na Coiribe in the next round in a hope to reach Mayo/Galway Cross over Semi/Finals scheduled for March 11th. Best of luck Girls!
