Dunmore Community School tries to offer a wide range of Adult Night Courses. The courses will run depending on demand each year.

We have offered :-
Beginners Computers: This course is aimed at Adults with little or no Computer Experience. It is 8 weeks in duration, 2 hours a night. Ths course is run in one of our state of the art Computer Room, all computers are linked to Colour Printers and the Internet. During this course, the adults will learn Basic Computer Operating Skills, File Managment, Internet Skills, Word Processing and Basic Desktop Publishing.
Advanced Computers: Progressing on from the Beginners Computers, adults have the opportunity of taking our Advanced Computers Course, where they further their Word Processing and Desktop Publishing Skills, and learn how to use Databases and Spreadsheets. The course is 8 weeks in duration and runs for 2 hours a night also.
Beginners Woodwork: Adults wishing to improve their DIY skills find this course very beneficial. The course is eight weeks in duration, and progresses from very simple projects to a more complicated final project.Generally, each night students complete a project to bring home. These projects include :
- A Bird Nesting Box
- A Bird Feeding Table
- A Pine Shelf
- A Kitchen Roll Holder
- A Mug Tree to the final Project of a Tool Box
During these classes students learn to use basic woodworking tools, and power tools, and after completion may progress onto the Advanced Woodwork Class, where they may choose a project themselves and make it.
Advanced Woodwork: After completeing the Beginners Woodwork, we have the option of progressing onto the Advanced Woodwork course, where adults can chose a project they wish to complete and with the guidance of the teacher, who prepares the material, they have the chance to make their chosen project.
