Fun Run 2018

Well done to all who took part in our Parents’ Council Fun Run/Walk on Thursday. A special thanks to all who made such a huge effort in getting your sponsorship cards filled and to the past students, parents and visiting schools who came along to support us. The staff and management of Dunmore CS really appreciate your support. We hope you all enjoyed the day. All going well, you will get to see where all your sponsorship has gone after the Easter Break.

6km Fun Run/Walk

Tomorrow will be a non Uniform day, so students are asked to wear PE gear for the run/walk and bring a coat and change of clothes/runners in case of bad weather. We will have class for the first 4 periods, and start the run at 12:00. On return to the school we will have awards presentation etc in the Sports Hall, followed by the lunch-break and returning to class for the last 2 classes of the day. (So please bring required books etc)

Thanks to all who have contributed so generously towards this Parents Council Fundraiser, to all who are running/walking the route tomorrow and a special thanks to the parents council for all their hard work in organising this fun event.

The staff and management of Dunmore really appreciator your help and support.

Parents Council Table Quiz

Fantastic to see such a turn out for our Table Quiz last night. A Special word of thanks to: our fantastic Parents Council and the students who helped in organising the extremely enjoyable event, to all who turned up and to our MC for the night Mr. Ollie Turner.

Finally, a sincere thanks to all those who so kindly/generously donated prizes for the night.

6km Walk

Dunmore Community School recently held a six-kilometre walk to raise funds for the school. The walk was supported by the Parents Council and all students, teachers and many parents took part in what has become an annual event.  Three generations of one family took part in the run. Student Sean Ryan was joined by his mother Jean Coleman and his grandfather Paddy Coleman. At the lively age of 92, Paddy completed the 6km in style, running the last few yards into the school to the applause of all gathered to cheer him on.
