Best wishes to Gay McManus who retires from his role as Principal of Dunmore Community School. Gay, originally from Milltown, started his teaching career here in 1982 as a Business Studies teacher before moving to Portarlington. He returned to Dunmore CS as Principal from 2007 – 2017.

All here at Dunmore Community School would like to take this opportunity to wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement. 

Principal Appointment

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Declan Quinn as the new Principal of Dunmore Community School with effect from the beginning of the new school year.

Declan has been a member of our teaching staff since 1999 and taught Technical Graphics, Woodwork, Design & Communication Graphics and IT.

We would like to wish him the very best in his new role.

TY trip to Bord Gais Theatre

DCS TY students enjoyed a wonderful trip to Bord Gais Theatre recently to see the stage adaptation of Mark Haddon’s award-winning novel “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”. A truly amazing show, a spectacular visual experience. Great day had by all
