A Health Promoting School (HPS) is a school where positive actions are being taken to support and improve the health and well-being of everybody in the school community. The school community includes students, parents and guardians, and school staff.
Consulting with the school staff, students, and parents and guardians is an important part of planning for a HPS.

We are really proud of our First Year Boys Basketball team who were outstanding today in the All Ireland playoffs. We faced Abbey Boyle in our first game and we were leading for the whole game until the last quarter and were narrowly beaten by 3 points. Our next game was against the host school St Pat’s Navan. We were brilliant in this game and were leading throughout but Navan drew level in the last quarter. The game went to extra time and we won by 4points. Drimnagh Dublin were our opposition in the last game and we won comprehensively 37-7. Dunmore CS, Abbey Boyle & St Pat’s Navan all finished with two wins and unfortunately Navan go through to the All Ireland finals on score difference. Although we are disappointed, our students had a great day. Our school are very proud of you & the way you have performed all season.
