An orange weather warning has been issued for Galway and the West of Ireland because of storm Brendan. At present we intend to open today, but this may change depending on weather updates or if we get a Red Warning. We will update parents/guardians and staff by text if the decision to close is made.
If the school is open today, the final decision as to if students should travel rests entirely with parents/guardians.
Best of luck to our u16 Boys Basketball team & their coach Ms Grehan who compete in the All Ireland play-offs on Sun in Dunmore Community School. This talented group of lads were unlucky in the Regional finals losing out by 1 point. As Regional Champions for the last two years, they hope to put that disappointment behind them & perform well on Sunday. They compete against Belmullet & Kishoge CC. Winners go forward to the next stage of the competition in the Basketball Arena Tallaght.
Tomorrow we host the U16 All-Ireland Playoffs and our fantastic team open the day against Mercy Sligo at 11 am. Then, Mercy Sligo plays the other visiting school Marist Dundalk with the final match of Dunmore Vs Marist Dundalk at 2:30 pm. The winner of tomorrows games goes onto the All Ireland finals so we would be like to wish our girls and Ms.Canny the very best of luck in such an exciting stage of the competition! Such an achievement to get here, enjoy the day!

Unfortunately, our phone lines are down again. If you need to contact us please ring 0873946260 or email us. We are in the process of installing a new phone system and we hope to have this installed this week.
